What is Vision: Ohio?
Vision: Ohio is an initiative started by President Ron Halvorsen Jr earlier this year to help the strained financial situation facing the conference. A minister at heart, he did not want to continue “the trend of scaling back and eliminating ministry leaders and programs,” desiring instead to encourage investment in “the future of Ohio by working towards the creation of stronger, healthier, and growing
Halvorsen explains, “This offering is one beyond our usual tithes and local offerings. It will not help if we simply take from one offering just to give it to another. There is no gift too great or too small. This is about us
coming together in prayer and giving to see the work here in Ohio back on solid God-honoring ground.”
Thanks to people from across and outside the conference who have responded with overwhelming encouragement and prayer for the conference and Halvorsen, more than $234,000 has been contributed to Vision: Ohio
as of November 1, 2014!
Thank you constituents and friends of the Ohio Conference for your continued generosity in supporting President Ron Halvorsen Jr’s special offering for Vision:Ohio
. As of December 31, 2014 you collectively donated $264,106.75, and money continues to come into the conference monthly for this offering. The Vision:Ohio donations, combined with a 2.25% tithe increase in 2014 (as compared to 2013) and the special subsidy given to us by the Columbia Union Conference, has allowed us to close the year with a gain
rather than a loss as we had in 2013! This is good news for our conference. Thank you for your continued support.
How can you give?
